A dynamite idea.
These TV spots were directed by Aaron Ruell (Brother Kip in the movie Napoleon Dynamite). Working with Aaron is probably one of the coolest things I've done in my career. These stayed in Adage's most watch spots list for eight weeks.
Our idea that all your leftover items tells a story about you and your past, was weaved into radio, newspaper and outdoor. Every item is a story and every person a character in it. With each media, we let the space dictate the way we told that story. The idea stayed brand consistent without having to repeat the exact same creative device over and over. Story, humor, and customer connection were more important for what was a novel and new retail concept.
My first real dive into being a Creative Director, I was able to have meaningful influence throughout. The radio spots made it into the finals and annual in the One Show.
